COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Global Studies II continues to explore World History in chronological order from the Industrial Revolution to the present time. Using maps, charts, graphs, literature and documents from a variety of sources, students develop a knowledge of key concepts in depth. Recurring themes of ancient history are traced through modern times.
The second semester of this course concentrates on reviewing for the Regents examination while mastering document based questions (DBQ’s). There will be an emphasis on using newspapers to develop the analytical skills that students will use in their adult lives.
