1.  Fiscal Sustainability: 

● Determine the District's current fiscal standing & maintain ongoing updates to BOE regarding the fiscal status. 

● Implement efficiencies and best practices to establish optimal operational functioning within the business office.

● Develop a long-range (3-to-5-year) budget plan with a focus on controlling costs, considering both current and future

   needs.  

● Initiate steps to increase student enrollment and retention by a minimum of 10% for the 2022-2023 school year including,

  • Promoting Greenburgh Eleven’s program via the updated website, brochures, presentations to parent groups and superintendent’s meetings, and building relationships with Special Education Directors/Administrators within the LoHud region and the boroughs. 

  • Exploring partnerships to serve various populations, including medically fragile students.

 

2.  Curriculum & Instruction: 

Promote a culture of excellence that reflects rigorous teaching and learning and improves the quality of instruction provided to students. Specifically, by June of 2023:

  • Initiate a curriculum development cycle to create rigorous, vertically aligned curricula beginning with English Language Arts and Math. 

  • Assess current pedagogical practices to inform what professional development and support are needed to improve the instructional program.

  • Complete the exploration and establishment of the GED & CDOS Programs.

 

3.  Social Emotional Development:

By June of 2023, initiate a holistic approach to students' social-emotional, academic, and physical needs to reduce absenteeism, disruptive incidences, the use of exclusionary discipline, and encourage a compassionate understanding toward others.

  • Continue implementation of restorative practices – (multi-tiered)    

  • All staff receive professional development in restorative practices, and all teachers are implementing Tier 1 level Restorative Practice in their classrooms

  • Targeted task force trained and implementing Tiers 11 & 111 of the Restorative Practice program

  • Review the District’s policies and procedures, and integrate Restorative Practices into the code of conduct and daily operations 

  • Establish a culture whereby appropriate student behavior is celebrated and rewarded including a student leadership process, i.e., student government and mentoring opportunities

  • Establish activities to proactively address students' needs and reduce disruptive incidences, i.e., creating a sensory room and other alternative spaces to mitigate students' emotions and energy levels. 

  • Develop and foster a strong, collaborative partnership with the leadership and staff of Children's Village. This collaboration will include but not limited to, the review and strengthening of school security and crisis response.
